thrymheim + travel posters + THOR render

everything right now is in the green and moving forward, but i promised something at least on this date so here goes.

first thing, let me tell you about something interesting that's eaten a few days, but had to be added now, and was worth it.

in past updates, vanaheim got all the way up to FREYA, and NJORD's castle, but then i'm sure it seemed like progress there stopped. it sort of did, to be honest, because research holes require finding out certain information first. in this case, NJORD, SKADI, and thrymheim was an obstacle in that area.

research breakthrough though, i found that information! with some creative license, the following is a description of the thrymheim area (if the lore is accurate)

"a land of the giants (IE inhuman nightmare fauna) in a frozen mountain terrain (IE ice, snow, and cold-terrain earthly fauna), which was a "power-house" (IE ancient giant ruins with odd cryptic ancient tech and ancient ruined metal), but was then overtaken by a huntress (IE barbarian camp decor, blood, bone, and animal carcass aplenty)."

for obviously rule of cool reasons, adding some days of worktime to immediately plug this design gap, was a necessity and not a luxury. only the landmass for now, but all of the vanaheim lore now has a green light, where previously it had a red light.

second thing i can show you today, is one of the quality of life changes i'm putting in. travel posters.

it's really fucking hard preventing you guys from either getting lost, and/or not having enough information to explore. the gameworld to be fair is massive.  i thought "if i give these guys something as basic as a map, will that solve the issue?". so now here and there, you'll find these to hopefully give you some idea, of where the exact fuck you are

third thing, and i posted this earlier in other places so i'll mention it last,  is a raw untextured render of THOR. this is the best i can give you while his mum gets built, and thrudheim is getting more shit done. who knew adding 1 single family member could impact a work schedule.

as i said, everything else is in the green and rolling along fine, and i'll keep you updated here. the complex stuff i have to add is currently mostly coding

TLDR: rule of cool made a surprise addition needed immediately (even if it ate a few days). here's the coolest build prompt i've so far followed. here's a map so you don't get lost. everything is rolling along in the green.
